MOPPETS

"Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:14

What is MOPPETS?

MOPPETS is our childcare program that takes place during our meetings so that you can enjoy your MOPS experience while your children are placed into the loving and dedicated hands of our MOPPETS staff. Your child will experience a preschool like setting with age appropriate activities to foster their development in a fun and engaging way.

Babies, up to age 2, will be cared for in a stimulating and loving nursery setting. While children, ages 2 years and up, will be in more of a classroom setting and have a Bible lesson, craft, snack, music and recreation. The kids will have a great time of learning and playing under the direction of our dedicated MOPPETS workers.

MOPPETS Policies and Procedures
Policies for MOPPETS
  • Because we have children with severe allergies, no outside food or drink (including mom’s breakfast from upstairs) is allowed in our MOPPETS classrooms. Baby formula is, of course, allowed. We will be giving the children cheerios and water to snack on.
  • Since we want our moms' meeting time to be a refreshing time where moms can have a relaxing, kid-free experience, please bring all children older than 6 months to our MOPPETS program. Moms with babies, 6 months or younger, are welcome to have their baby with them in the meeting, or in our MOPPETS program.
  • If a child continues to be extremely upset and cannot be calmed after an acceptable amount of time, a MOPPETS worker will notify you.
  • To avoid spreading illnesses, please do not bring your child to MOPPETS if they are sick, including:
    • A temperature of 100° or higher within the last 24 hour
    • Vomited or had diarrhea within the last 24 hours
    • A runny nose with colored mucus
    • Exposure to a contagious condition such as chicken pox, measles, etc.
  • Please remember to clearly label all of your child’s belongings.
  • If you need to come down during the meeting to check on your child, we ask that you stay outside the door and peak into the window until a worker sees you. They will then come and speak with you. We ask that you do not enter into the nursery or the classroom at any time, because it really disturbs the class and the children to see a mom come in (then they all want their moms!).
