About Us

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a place to find friendship, community, resources and support for you as a woman and mother, so you're not alone. MOPS is a moms group that meets twice a month, but we also e-mail, call, and have play dates together on the side. It is a group for mothers of children ages 0-6 and of course, expecting mothers as well. Childcare is provided while moms have a chance to meet together, listen to speakers, do crafts, and talk about the adventures of motherhood.

All interested moms are welcome to come and visit a MOPS meeting and a MOPS playdate before officially registering. NCC MOPS meets about every other Monday, see Schedule Our regular meetings are at Newark Community Church from 9am-11:30am. The address is 37590 Sycamore Street, Newark, Ca, 94560. Our playdate times are from 10am- 12pm. The cost is $140 per year, and can be paid in installments. For more information e-mail nccmopsgroup@gmail.com

Practical Help
Need some inspiration? At every meeting there will be speaker or discussion topic that will give you practical tools and insight into the specific things that are important to you and once in awhile we get to try new things and be creative and incorporate a fun craft into our meetings.

Personal Mentoring
Meet a Mentor Mom who has been through it all and has great advice and a willing ear.


Time to Chat
We moms need each other. At each meeting there will be time to get to know other moms in an accepting small group atmosphere.

Giving Back
We like to give back to our community and we have several times during our season where we will have opportunities to serve by distributing blankets to nursing homes or giving to Operation Christmas Child etc..

Care for your Kids
We call it MOPPETS and its is an excellent program staffed by trained teachers who will nurture your kids in a preschool-like environment.

Moms Night Out
Sometimes moms just need a night out to relax and enjoy a few hours away from the kids and refresh ourselves. So we have moms night out where we come together to fellowship and enjoy each other's company.
